As Dr. Jerry Parsons (former vegetable specialist with the Texas AgriLIFE Extension Service) says, "Spring gardening is just practice for fall gardening." Whether or not you're ready, fall gardening is well underway by September. Flowers, grass, trees, shrubs, and veggies will all do well with fall planting. We'll talk about bed preparation, selecting the right varieties of plants, planting them, watering them, and fertilizing them.
